Plogging at Crosby Beach

Crosby Beach
24th June 2018 10:30 - 12:30

The Scandinavian fitness trend of plogging has reached Crosby and we'll all be doing it on Sunday 24th June!

For those not yet in the know, plogging combines jogging and picking up litter (from the Swedish term “plocka upp,” meaning pick up). The new fitness craze is sweeping the globe and ridding the streets of rubbish - what's not to love? So we're asking everyone from across Crosby to come and join us on Sunday 24th June from 10.30am to 12.30pm for some plogging on the beach.

Please note: Due to the tide, we are now meeting on the beach promenade by Crosby swimming baths (near to the Ice Cream Van) and NOT the coastguard Station.

We're organising this event in partnership with the Friends of Crosby Beach and there will be a collection by our volunteer marshals to raise money for the hospice.

This will be a family-friendly and FREE event as well as a fantastic way to get outdoors, get fit and have fun while supporting the local community by cleaning up the beach and raising money for a very worthwhile cause close to all our hearts.

Bootcamp fitness instructor Barry Fry will also be there to get everyone warmed up at the start.

Pay and display parking will be available on the day.
