Light up a Life 2019

Please note: Light up a Life is FREE to attend and everyone is welcome.

Our annual Light up a Life service brings local families together to remember and celebrate the lives of all those we hold dear, whether they have been a patient at the hospice or not, as well as the distant family and friends who can’t be together at Christmas.

This year, Light up a Life will take place at 4pm on Sunday 8th December, following on from our Christmas Market in the hospice gardens.

Father Furnival and Bishop Tom Williams will lead the service and we will also sing carols and enjoy some festive refreshments. During the service, we will switch on the lights on our Christmas tree which will shine at the hospice throughout Christmas.

You can dedicate a light to your loved ones on the hospice Christmas tree by completing a dedication form - Download a Light up a Life dedication form.

Forms are also available from the hospice or from any of our St. Joseph’s Hospice shops across Merseyside.

This year, we're putting on a park and ride service to avoid local traffic congestion around the hospice. The service will operate from Holy Family Catholic High School from 13:00pm - 18:00pm.

A traditional Christmas Market will take place earlier in the day, from 12noon on Sunday 8th December, with stalls selling a delicious range of sweet treats and festive goodies. There will also be lots of activities for children including a visit from Father Christmas himself. Please support this hospice and get the date in your diary.
