Hospice announces charity partnership with Liverpool bike ride event

St. Joseph’s Hospice has announced that it is a charity partner for this year’s Liverpool to Chester Bike Ride on Sunday 3rd July.

The hospice, which cares for over 200 local people and their families every year, has a number of places available for the bike ride, which is suitable for all ages and abilities.

Hospice chief executive, Mike Parr, has already signed up and is hoping to encourage others to show their support at what is proving to be a very challenging time for the hospice.

Mike said: “This is a non-competitive cycling event and it’s going to be a fantastic day because there are lots of different routes and distances available so it really is suitable for everyone.

“We are very proud to be a charity partner for such a brilliant local event and this is a particularly important event for us because the current economic situation is having a significant impact on donations.

“We hope, however, that people will still be keen to do their own fundraising this year by taking on a challenge like the Liverpool to Chester Bike Ride and showing their support to the hospice.”

The Liverpool Chester Liverpool Bike Ride covers a range of distances from 5 miles to 100 miles and is suitable for all ages and abilities. A special combo ticket is available on certain routes, where one child (under the age of 15 years) will get a free place when accompanied by one paying adult.
