Lottery canvassers wanted

St. Joseph's Hospice is looking for people who are passionate about the hospice and its values and would like to earn a bit of extra income.

During 2017, the hospice’s Emerald Anniversary year, it wants to create a legacy to secure future funding for patient care and so it is relaunching the St. Joseph’s Hospice Lottery as part of its anniversary celebrations.

The hospice is, therefore, looking for great communicators, who believe in the hospice and its values, to help them in their quest to grow membership of the lottery in 2017 and beyond.

Mike Parr, Chief Executive of St. Joseph’s Hospice, said: “As a lottery canvasser, you would be out and about meeting people and telling them all about the fantastic work our nurses and carers do to care for our patients as well as supporting their families.

“Commission will be paid to our lottery canvassers but we do have very high expectations of anyone representing the hospice and so our canvassers must be passionate about our work, as well as courteous, polite and respectful to all.

“It’s a great way of supporting the hospice yourself and also encouraging others to do the same for the small price of a £1 weekly lottery ticket.

“If you can do one thing to support the hospice in our special Emerald Anniversary year, please join our lottery. Or, better still, become one of our lottery canvassers.”

If you’re interested in finding out more, please email mike.parr@jospice.org.uk or call 0151 924 3812. All lottery canvassers recruited will be subject to a DBS check.

To join the weekly lottery, simply fill in the lottery form online or contact the Lottery Office on 0151 932 6025 / lottery-office@jospice.org.uk.
